At Alpha-Omega, our mission is to secure the open source ecosystem by investing in foundational technologies and the communities that support them. That’s why we’re proud to partner with the Rust Foundation to advance the security and sustainability of one of the most promising languages in modern software development.
With ongoing and expanded support from Alpha-Omega, the Rust Foundation continues to build powerful tools and secure infrastructure that make the Rust ecosystem—and open source as a whole—more resilient. From live crate provenance tracking and real-time vulnerability scanning to the development of trusted publishing workflows and a Rust-specific implementation of Capslock, the Foundation’s Security Initiative is pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in supply chain security.
We’re especially excited to share that Alpha-Omega recently contributed an additional $216,000 to accelerate two critical efforts: implementing Trusted Publishing on crates.io and building out a Rust-native version of Capslock, a powerful tool for assessing package capabilities. These initiatives reflect our shared commitment to advancing a more secure, transparent, and trustworthy software supply chain.
